home records is founded by marcus henriksson aka minilogue, nobody home, son kite releaseinfo: since the beginning of time we humans have been using different methods of inducing altered, heightened or trance-like states. like the native humans used rituals, drumming, dancing and chanting to get into an trance-like state. trances and altered states follow the pattern of a journey: departure, traveling through (inner worlds and dimensions) space, and then returning home. in the classic shamanic journey traditions, rhythmic drumming, rattling or chanting is used to facilitate the entering into, traveling through and returning from the spirit world

the swedish trance duo son kite is back, releasing their first album in ten years. and they are on a mission. *dancing is a very important ritual. our main mission as artists is to make people get into this trance state*, they say. since the release of their third album *colours* in 2004, marcus henriksson and sebastian mullaert have been focusing on their other project minilogue, touring the world and gaining increasing popularity in the house and techno scene. with *prisma*, released on november 17th and consisting of seven tracks made between 2007 and 2014, the duo leaps back to the endless energy and enthusiasm they felt when they first started making music together in 1996. and back to what it is all essentially about, according to the two musicians: getting into the all-important dance ritual and reaching the trance state.

fantastic reissue of paradises deep grooves seminal * i love ep* produced by nelson * paradise* roman. originally released back in 91, this is one of the true holy grails of deep house. kicking things off is the incredible deep hypnotic groove of * i love*, which became a nyc sound factory classic in the hands of junior vasquez as well as receiving heavy rotation on the underground house scene. the next two tracks * hypnotic flute* and * trance dance* are both excellent but the other really outstanding track is the deep floating * inner mind* with its lush haunting synths and intricate rhythms. top quality house music at its best!

on uncanny valley s catalogue number 18 we finally welcome back credit 00 who is a man in charge of a decent collection of those dusty machines we all love. after the ice cold the living room life ep from 2012, his brand new record ice cream is easy to fall in love with. packed with tunes to suit various moods in life, it will be a faithful companion in dark basements or lonesome hours. ice cream starts deliciously with its sleazy sample choice. with the distinctive drum work it builds up to a true chicago-inspired dance floor banger. round n round hits hard with a harsh kick and cowbell action before it shows off slightly melancholic lead synths and a subtle but effective bass line and puts the emphasis on the fact that things go round and round. life s a dizzy affair. east of nowhere with that bass line-sound is credit 00 to the core. and with spooky synths he puts you to an east of nowhere-place where you will lose yourself in manic trance-like dancing. the record ends with red wine , a slightly different electronic love song sung by credit 00. the cover artwork was created by alexander dorn.

nice price deal !!! the idea for the sundowner sessions came about when mike found an old tascam cassette 4-track recorder at a garage sale in maplewood new jersey a few months ago. he went home and recorded some songs over a few extended sessions in his living room with headphones while his daughter napped upstairs. taking influence from early belgian trance and the diy noise and power electronics records simonetti released on his old label troubleman- the idea was to capture a moment in time and document it, and never revisit it again. projects like this is why new jersey exists as a label.respect to come org, united dairies, steinklang, american tapes, transmat, hospital prod, and tesco.
